We had 2 adults and 1 child in the basic room for an overnight trip. You’re better off ordering food at Dunkin and calling it a day!… “Egg omelet” seemed to be made of powder. The food wasn’t stocked well and the quality was terrible. For $20 a head you’d think they’d at least have fresh eggs. The ugly- DO NOT PAY FOR THE BREAKFAST BUFFET! It was one of the worst, lowest quality breakfasts I think I’ve ever had. From this point on I was over the trip and it really had just begun. We weren’t purposefully trying to break rules, honest mistake, calm down. Ok, cool… got her the life jacket, I could have done without the attitude. She went on to say it doesn’t matter if she is on a swim team, it’s a liability. She then told me it was posted (by the lifejackets, that I wasn’t even looking at because, again, my daughter can swim). I explained to her I didn’t realize this because she can swim and no one explained “rules” of any sort to us. When we walked into the wave pool area she stopped me and with quite a bit of attitude told me my daughter needed a life jacket because of her size. ![]() Lifeguards were ok, but there was one that was very rude. Wait times for slides at the water park are long. $10 for a regular size that fits a purse and/or other small items. $15 for a “large” that fits about 1 backpack. $25 for a “jumbo” that fits about 2 backpacks. Well, that was half true- the lockers are pretty small (wouldn’t fit our small carryon bags, which we had to leave outside the water park ) and pricey. Our room wasn’t ready, which wasn’t a big deal… but they told us we could store our things in lockers inside the park. The water park is very small and reeks of chlorine. 2 burgers, 1 chicken sandwich, one pretzel, 2 sodas, 2 margaritas- $120… unbelievable. Mind you, the food quality is pretty low and the bartender who served us seemed lackluster at best. Lunch for my family of 4 with 2 alcoholic drinks was about $120. The bad- this place is so small and the price is exorbitant for what you actually get. The good- not much to share here other than maybe the ability to order coffee on mobile ahead of time to go down to Dunkin Donuts for pickup. If you’re curious about this place, don’t be- I do not recommend. We had a wonderful time and look forward to staying again in the future.… The resort still looks great and I can tell it's well taken care of. We first came here two years ago when everything was brand new. Staff was very courteous and I appreciated how every time we were walking down the hall to or from our room, they would greet us and say "good morning" or "have a good day!". We did have dinner at the Barnwood restaurant, which was very good and on par with what you would expect from resort dining. There are enough offsite restaurants nearby or a Dunkin on site so next time we'll do that. ![]() So all in all we paid $75.00 for horrible half-eaten pancakes, a few pieces of bacon, a few bites of not-so-good ham, a spoonful of scrambled eggs, and milk. I tried it and thought it tasted OK enough to eat but certainly not the quality you would expect from a resort buffet. Each of us took a piece, but the kids kept saying it tasted funny. The ham looked fresh and had just been sliced. The omelette I got had a rubbery texture to it and had a cardboard like taste to it so I didn't eat it. I tried to cut my daughter's for her and wasn't making much progress with the plasticware so I ended up ripping it apart with my hands. The pancakes are very thin, almost like a crepe, and don't tear easily so they're hard to cut. I would have been OK with the $75.00 (for 4) cost if the food was good but much of it wasn't edible. What do you expect? That said, the Campfire Kitchen breakfast buffet is terrible and we'll never make that mistake again. It's also pricey at Six Flags or Disneyland. Of course it's pricey, it's an amusement park. A lot of reviews say that the food is pricey. It was spacious and clean, overlooking the pool. We stayed for two nights in the Grizzly Bear Suite, which honestly was like a small apartment. ![]() ![]()
